I’m Jo, and Moody Blooms is deeply personal. The name comes from my maiden surname and has remained a constant throughout my career.
Flowers have taken me further than I ever imagined.
From starting out in retail floristry to teaching, wedding flower design, styling for photoshoots, product development, and even a flower start-up business in India, each chapter has shaped a way of working that feels both instinctive and intentional.
My biggest superpower is listening
Noticing the subtle details, the quiet nuances, and understanding what’s felt as much as what’s said. It allows me to translate a brief into something deeply personal and considered.
I care deeply about what I do. There’s no halfway. I’m all in.

Outside of flowers
I’m a busy mum of two teenage girls, living between the beauty of everyday chaos and the pull towards quieter, more intentional moments.
My husband and I met while travelling in Thailand, a reflection of a life led by instinct, curiosity, and following what feels right.
We’ve shared some incredible adventures together. One of my favourites was crewing a boat from the British Virgin Islands to Rhode Island. I loved the endless skies and open sea. That sense of freedom and perspective has never quite left me.
These days, we escape to the coast whenever we can. Sunny beach days or blustery long walks are equally loved. The shifting light and slower pace, with that soft, milky air, offer a reset from a busy life.
